ຄືພຣະຜູ້ໄຖ່
Sun of my soul,
Thou Savior dear,

ບໍ່ມີມືດຖ້າ
ພຣະອົງຢູ່ໃກ້
It is not night
if Thou be near;

ຢ່າໃຫ້ໂລກເປັນ
ເໝືອນເມກບັງຕາ
Oh, may no
earthborn cloud arise

ກັ້ນພຣະອົງໄວ້
ຈາກໃຈຂອງຂ້າ
To hide Thee from
Thy servant’s eyes.

2.ຂໍຢູ່ກັບຂ້າ
ແຕ່ເຊົ້າຈົນຄ່ຳ
When the soft dews
of kindly sleep

ເພາະນອກພຣະອົງ
ບໍ່ເຫັນຜູ້ອື່ນ
My wearied eyelids
gently steep,

ສະຖິດກັບຂ້າ
ຍາມມືດໃກ້ມາ
Be my last thought,
how sweet to rest

ນອກຈາກພຣະອົງ
ຢ້ານມໍລະນາ
Forever on my
Savior’s breast.

3.ຖ້າຂ້າໄດ້ປະ
ພຣະອົງຫຼົງໄປ
If some poor wand’ring
child of Thine

ຮ້ອງຫາພຣະອົງ
ຜູ້ຊົງຊ່ວຍໄດ້
Has spurned today
the voice divine,

ໂອ້ພຣະເຈົ້າຂ້າ
ຂໍຊົງໂຜດຟັງ
Now, Lord, the
gracious work begin;

ຂໍຢ່າໃຫ້ກັບເຮັດ
ບາບອີກຊ້ຳ
Let him no more
lie down in sin.

4.ໂຜດຊ່ອຍຄົນເຈັບ
ບັນເທົາຄົນຈົນ
Watch by the sick,
enrich the poor

ດ້ວຍມະຫາພອນ
ອັນຫຼາຍເຫຼືອລົ້ນ
With blessings from
Thy boundless store;

ໃຫ້ຜູ້ທຸກຍາກ
ນອນຫຼັບສຳບາຍ
Be every mourner’s
sleep tonight,

ເໝືອນດັ່ງເດັກນ້ອຍ
ສຸກໃຈຜ່ອງໃສ
Like infants’ slumbers,
pure and right.

5.ສະຖິດໃກ້ຂ້າ
ອວຍພອນເມື່ອຕື່ນ
Come near and bless
us when we wake,

ກ່ອນຂ້າເຮັດການ
ສິ່ງໃດສິ່ງອື່ນ
Ere through the
world our way we take,

ຈົນຂ້າໄດ້ເຖິງ
ທີ່ຢູ່ເມືອງຟ້າ
Till in the ocean
of Thy love

ເຕັມດ້ວຍຄວາມຮັກ
ພຣະເຈົ້າຂອງຂ້າ
We lose ourselves
in Heav’n above.
