ກ່າວວ່າ
To touch their
harps of gold:

ຄວາມສຸກຈົ່ງມີ
ແກ່ຊາດມະນຸດ
“Peace on the earth,
Goodwill to men,

ມາແຕ່ກະສັດ
ສະຫວັນ
From heaven’s
all-gracious King!”

ຊາວໂລກຈົ່ງຫງ່ຽງຫູ
ຄ່ອຍຄ່ອຍຟັງ
The world in solemn
stillness lay

ຄວາມເທວະດາຮ້ອງນັ້ນ.
To hear the
angels sing.

2.ຝູງເທວະດາພາກັນລົງມາ
Still through the cloven
skies they come

ຮ້ອງເພງສຽງມ່ວນ
ໜັກໜາ
With peaceful
wings unfurled,

ເພື່ອໃຫ້ບັນດາມະນຸດທຸກຄົນ
And still their
heavenly music floats

ຊົມຊື່ນຍິນດີຖ້ວນໜ້າ
O’er all the
weary world:

ໃນໂລກທົ່ວໄປ
ມີຄວາມໂສກເສົ້າ
Above its sad
and lowly plains

ບໍ່ຄືສະຫວັນທາງເທິງ
They bend on
hovering wing,

ແຕ່ວ່າດັງກວ່າ
ສຽງອຶກກະທຶກ
And ever o’er
its Babel sounds

ຝູງເທວະດາຮ້ອງເພງ.
The blessed
angels sing.

3.ຄົນໃດເປັນທຸກ
ໜັກອົກໜັກໃຈ
And ye, beneath
life’s crushing load,

ຍ້ອນແບກຂອງໜັກ
ເຫລືອລົ້ນ
Whose forms
are bending low,

ຄົນໃດຄ່ອຍຄ່ອຍ
ເດີນທາງຂຶ້ນຍາກ
Who toil along
the climbing way

ຈົນເມື່ອຍເບິ່ງຄືບໍ່ພົ້ນ
With painful
steps and slow

ຈົ່ງເບິ່ງຄວາມສຸກ
ປະເສີດເລີດລ້ຳ
Look now! For glad
and golden hours

ກຳລັງເລື່ອນລອຍລົງມາ
Come swiftly

ເຫລົ່ານັ້ນເຂົ້າມາ
For lo, the days
are hastening on,

ຊຶ່ງຜູ້ທຳນວາຍ
ກ່າວແລ້ວ
By prophets
seen of old,

ປີເດືອນວຽນຮອບ
ໄປມາໄດ້ນຳ
When with the
ever-circling years

ຂ່າວອັນປະເສີດ
ເຫລືອແກ້ວ
Shall come the
time foretold,

ຄວາມສຸກຈະແຜ່
ອອກໄປທົ່ວໂລກ
When the new heaven
and earth shall own

ປຽບດັ່ງແສງຣັດສະມີ
The Prince of
Peace their King,

ທຸກຄົນຈະຕອບ
ຝູງເທວະດາ
And the whole world
send back the song

ດ້ວຍເພງສຸກສະຫວັດດີ.
