ເຖິງວ່າລຳບາກພຽງໃດ
ໃຈຂ້າຢາກຢູ່ໃກ້
E’en though it be a
cross that raiseth me,

ຄວາມທຸກເດືອດຮ້ອນໝົດໄປ
ເພາະຢູ່ໃກ້ພຣະຜູ້ໄຖ່
Still all my song shall be,
nearer, my God, to Thee.

ແຮງໃກ້ພຣະອົງແຮງດີ
ຢູ່ໃກ້ຊິດພຣະເຈົ້າ
Nearer, my God, to Thee,

2.ເຖິງວ່າຂ້າ ໄດ້ເຫີນຫ່າງ
ຈາກທາງ ພຣະເຈົ້າ
Though like the wanderer,
the sun gone down,

ດວງໃຈວ້າ ເວເປົ່າປ່ຽວ
ຈິດໃຈຂ້າໂສກເສົ້າ
Darkness be over me,
my rest a stone;

ເມື່ອນັ້ນໃຈ ຂ້າຕ້ອງການ
ຢູ່ໃກ້ພຣະເຈົ້າ ດົນນານ
Yet in my dreams I’d be
nearer, my God, to Thee.

ແຮງໃກ້ພຣະອົງ ແຮງດີ
ຢູ່ໃກ້ຊິດ ພຣະເຈົ້າ

3.ຍາມທຸກລຳບາກດັ່ງນີ້
ຊົງໂຜດປານີ
There let the way appear,
steps unto Heav’n;

ໃຂທາງສະຫວັນໃຫ້ມີ

All that Thou sendest
me, in mercy giv’n;
